Beyond traditional data brokerage

Traditional brokers often focus on finding a buyer for an existing dataset. Asset Data Group focuses on increasing the value of the asset before it ever reaches the market. Through data evaluation, de-identification planning, commercialization analysis, buyer-readiness assessments, asset packaging, and transaction support, we help organizations position their data for licensing and commercialization opportunities.

More than a data broker

Asset Data Group is a data asset commercialization firm that helps organizations transform operational data into market-ready assets. Through data evaluation, de-identification planning, asset packaging, buyer outreach, and transaction management, ADG helps organizations unlock the value of underutilized data assets. Our team invests the time, expertise, and resources required to evaluate, prepare, document, and commercialize qualifying data assets before they are ever presented to potential buyers.

How it works

We evaluate commercial potential, assist with data preparation and de-identification planning, develop buyer-ready documentation, identify qualified buyers, and manage the transaction from introduction through closing. You remain in control throughout, approving each step and every transaction. There are no upfront costs, and Asset Data Group is compensated only when a successful transaction is completed.

1 · Assess

Minutes · complimentary

You describe your organization's operational data assets through a short assessment. Asset Data Group's AI-assisted evaluation reviews commercial viability, compliance considerations, potential buyer demand, estimated value range, and data monetization readiness. You receive an initial commercialization assessment, estimated value range, and preliminary data asset profile. There is no cost and no obligation.

2 · Evaluate, prepare & protect

Typically 1–3 weeks

If your data qualifies, ADG conducts a deeper review of the asset's commercial potential — data structure, historical depth, documentation needs, compliance considerations, and de-identification strategy. We work with you to prepare a market-ready data asset package, including data inventories, commercialization documentation, and buyer-facing materials. Compliance and legal review occur before any opportunity is presented to buyers.

3 · Market & negotiate

Timeline varies with demand

Asset Data Group presents approved data asset opportunities to qualified buyers seeking operational datasets for AI, analytics, research, and commercial applications. Our team manages buyer outreach, evaluates market demand, structures licensing opportunities, and negotiates commercial terms including pricing, access rights, scope, exclusivity, duration, and permitted uses. No data is shared and no transaction moves forward without your written approval.

4 · Execute & get paid

Upon closing

Once terms are approved, ADG coordinates secure delivery and transaction execution — secure transfer, a clean-room environment, controlled licensing, or access within your existing infrastructure. Upon successful completion, your organization receives payment under the agreed terms. Asset Data Group is compensated through the commercialization process and transaction structure. All licensing terms, permitted uses, and duration limits remain subject to your approval.

What happens after you submit the assessment

You receive an immediate preliminary assessment of your organization's data commercialization potential. Within two business days, an Asset Data Group data commercialization specialist reviews the assessment, answers your questions, and discusses whether your organization may have a marketable data asset. If you choose to proceed, ADG begins a more detailed evaluation — data valuation, commercialization readiness, compliance considerations, and potential buyer demand. There is no obligation to move forward, and nothing is marketed, listed, packaged, or shared with any third party without your written approval.

Where your data reaches buyers

A prepared, de-identified dataset can be licensed directly to buyers and listed on established data marketplaces — for example AWS Data Exchange, Snowflake Marketplace, and Databricks Marketplace, where AI, analytics, and research teams source datasets. Licensing is typically non-exclusive, so one dataset can be licensed more than once.

Security & your data

No data uploaded here

This page only takes a description of your data. You never upload a dataset to get an assessment. When a dataset is prepared later, it is encrypted in transit and at rest, and can remain inside your own environment.

Retention & deletion

We keep only your description and contact details to follow up. You can request deletion of your submission at any time by emailing contact@assetdatagrp.com.

What legal review covers

Before anything is marketed or licensed, review covers your rights to license the data, privacy and regulatory compliance (PII, PHI, CUI, GDPR, CCPA), and the license terms (scope, duration, permitted use).

You stay in control

You keep ownership throughout. Personal and regulated information is de-identified or excluded. Nothing is marketed or licensed without your written approval, and you can withdraw before a transaction closes.

Questions

What is Asset Data Group?

Asset Data Group is a data asset commercialization firm that helps organizations transform operational data into market-ready assets. Through data evaluation, de-identification planning, asset packaging, buyer outreach, and transaction management, ADG helps organizations unlock the value of underutilized data assets. Unlike traditional brokers that simply introduce buyers and sellers, ADG actively assesses, prepares, documents, positions, and commercializes data assets before they are presented to qualified buyers.

Is Asset Data Group just a broker?

No. ADG provides a full commercialization process designed to maximize the marketability and value of qualifying data assets — evaluation, market-value assessment, de-identification planning, documentation and data dictionaries, compliance and commercialization review, asset packaging and positioning, qualified-buyer identification, offer management and negotiation, and transaction support. Our role is not limited to making introductions; we help transform operational data into a commercial asset.

Why doesn't Asset Data Group charge upfront fees?

Because ADG assumes the upfront risk. Before a buyer is ever approached, our team may invest significant time and resources evaluating the opportunity, assessing commercialization potential, reviewing compliance, preparing documentation, building market-ready packages, and identifying qualified buyers. If a transaction does not occur, ADG absorbs that time and cost.

What does it cost my organization?

There are no upfront costs, consulting fees, evaluation fees, or participation fees. ADG evaluates, prepares, and presents qualifying data assets to vetted buyers. If market demand exists, buyers may submit offers for approved data assets. You remain in control throughout and may accept or decline any offer.

Why not simply sell our data directly?

Most organizations hold valuable operational data but lack the specialized expertise, commercial market access, technical resources, and buyer relationships to bring a data asset to market effectively. ADG bridges that gap with commercial valuation, asset preparation, de-identification planning, market positioning, buyer access, commercial negotiations, and transaction management.

Do I lose ownership of my data?

No. You license it, you do not sell it. You keep full ownership, you set the terms, and you approve every transaction.

What happens to health or customer data?

Personal and regulated information (PII, PHI) must be de-identified first or excluded. Some heavily regulated core datasets, such as patient records, are not a fit. The assessment flags this up front.

Can I withdraw?

Yes. Nothing is marketed or shared without your written approval, and you can withdraw at any time before a transaction closes.

What if no buyer emerges?

Then nothing happens and you owe nothing. There is no upfront cost — ADG is compensated only when a successful transaction is completed and you are paid.
